The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor announces a new free tuition program called The UMHB Promise Program. This program allows for first-time freshman or new transfer students to earn free tuition if their annual family income is $65,000 or less.
Other requirements, including incoming freshmen, must be in the top 50% of their high school class. Non-ranking high schools must have a minimum of 21 ACT or 1070 SAT or 67 CLT exam scores. Students must also have a 2.0 cumulative GPA, Federal Pell Grant eligible and must live on campus.
From the UMHB website Vice President of student life Dr. Bradon Skaggs said “By minimizing financial barriers, we are inviting more students into a Christ-centered education. We see God’s work in our students’ lives every day, and we are excited to share that transformative experience with more students than ever before.”
