Primary Election Voting in Bell County

Texas will hold its primary election beginning March 3, 2026. Both Republicans and Democrats hold separate primary elections to select the candidates who will represent each party during the General Election scheduled for Nov. 3.
Texans will vote for candidates running for U.S. Congress, county-level leadership and other positions. Texans do not need to register with a party but can only vote in one party’s primary and runoff primary elections. The candidates who win more than half the votes will face the other party’s candidate in the November general elections.
If one candidate does not earn more than half the vote, Texas will hold a Primary runoff election May 26. Runoff elections are common in Texas and will have the top two candidates compete for the party’s nomination for the general election. Voting locations
