Cru Women’s Soccer Finds New Competition

Crusader women’s soccer traveled to Massachusetts to face off against two new opponents on Sept. 16-20, 2026. Cru women’s soccer battled against Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Brandeis University.
The women’s soccer team, led by Barry Elkins and graduate assistant Katie Fitzpatrick, competed against MIT on Thursday, Sept. 17. The women conceded two goals to end with a score of 0-2.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, the Cru women faced off against Brandeis University, where they ended with a scoreless tie of 0-0.
This puts the team at an overall record of 1-3-3 as of press time.
While on the trip, the team explored Boston and visited the campuses of both MIT and Harvard.
This trip helped prepare Cru women’s soccer for conference games against Howard Payne University and Schreiner University.
The game against Howard Payne was at Brownwood, Texas, on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m. The Schreiner game was played in Kerrville, Texas, at 5 p.m on Sept. 26.
The men’s soccer team followed both of the women’s games at 7:30 p.m.
