After a manhunt in Belton, authorities arrested Johnathan Allen Nance-Karl,Troy shooting suspect, around 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 17, 2026. 

Nance-Karl is the suspect of the Troy shooting on Sept. 17. He opened fire and fled from the police, before they found him that evening. 

According to KWTX News 10, Ashley Nance-Karl is identified as the victim in the Troy shooting that led to the manhunt in Belton. 

The GoFundMe organized by Christina Porter says, “Ashley was a loving mother, sister, daughter & friend whose loss has left her family and community reeling. Ashley leaves behind 4 children who now face an unimaginable road ahead.”

Ashley Nance-Karl is the wife of Johnathan Nance-Karl and mother of four. 

The Belton Police Department said on Facebook, “The suspect has been located and is in custody. All roadways will begin to be reopened.”
