Texas Primary Voting Concludes as Key Senate and Gubernatorial Races Take Shape

March 3 marked the final day to vote for candidates for the November election.
The Republican side of the ballot U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Rep Wesley Hunt were vying for U.S. Senate seats, with Cornyn and Paxton competing for the lead.
Running on the Democrat side U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett and state Rep. James Talarico. According to the New York Times, Rep. Crockett conceded to Rep. Talarico early Wednesday morning.
The candidates running for Texas governor, have Republican Greg Abbott, and Democrat Gina Hinojosa both in a landslide lead for their parties.
In local elections the Republican race for U.S Representative for district 31 incumbent Rep. John Carter has been announced as the winner earing 54% of the votes. For Democrats Rep. Justin Early won his primary earing 57% of the votes.
