Crusader athletics will have a busy weekend, with men’s and women’s basketball continuing American Southwest Conference (ASC) play and several spring sports opening their seasons.

On Friday, Feb. 6, the softball team will travel south to open its season with a doubleheader against No. 6 Texas Lutheran University at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Baseball will also begin its season at home, hosting No. 12 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, the women’s and men’s basketball teams will be at home against East Texas Baptist University at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Men’s and women’s tennis will also open their seasons at home against McMurry University beginning at 1 p.m. Softball will continue its season in Kerrville with a doubleheader against Schreiner University at 1 p.m., while baseball will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 3:30 p.m.

To wrap up the weekend, baseball will conclude its three-game series against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at noon.
